Oh yea. Here in Virginia this is very much alive and well. We have all kinds of great windy roads and I went on a 210 mile ride this week-end. I made the sign so many times my left arm got sore!
Generally its left arm down with hand open but have seen many varieties. This week-end I got at least 2 dozen and only saw 1 person who did not do some sort of greeting. One Harley rider. I get the sign a lot from Harley riders usually however because folks say the Savage looks like a Roadster at speeds over 40 or so. I'm sure they would take the sign back if they knew the truth! HA!
